Job Responsibilities
- Promotes the key brand programs, promotions, events, and new initiatives both internally as well externally, specifically to media associates and strategic alliance partners.
- Works cohesively with the Marketing Communications Team, team members from lateral departments, alliance partners, and external agencies in order to ensure an integrated marketing approach in all PR activities.
- Works with the Director Marketing Communications to create newsworthy stories that include, but not limited to seasonal promotions and packages, hotel initiatives, F&B initiatives, spa initiatives, partnerships, local and regional destination led offers, etc.
- Networks effectively to build key relationships within the mainstream, industry, and trade medias as well as PR professionals, in order to gain new insights and forge key partnerships for the organization.
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with journalists, local businesses, institutions, officials, and all relevant media outlets/partners.
- Draft all press releases (Bangla and English) and ensure they have a proper call to action, promoting key url(s) and ensure local and national distribution in a timely manner and maximize media mileage earnings.
- Monitor all media coverage in order to protect the brand presence as well as to measure and manage periodical media mileage earnings.
- Identifies and enters hotels into appropriate local and national PR events and opportunities, in order to promote Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort as an active hospitality and tourism contributor.
- Regularly undertakes media research to study competitors and compile reports for Marketing Communications Team.
- Assists in overseeing the PR budget and expenses together with the Director Marketing Communications.
- Plan and manage periodical entertainments and visits from local and overseas media, and when necessary, organize detailed and interesting itineraries for journalists to discover the hotel and destination.
- Communicate, coordinate, and monitor optimal mileage is achieved through strategic alliance partners upon promotional offers and events.
- Undertakes communicating and coordinating with potential sponsors and partners to maximize on event and offer strategic plans and mileage.
Additional Requirements
- Job Specification:
- Has copy writing capabilities with strong command of Bangla.
- Should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to handle guest and media queries with diplomacy.
- Must be proactive in assuming responsibilities and has a desire to be trained for team leadership roles.
- Experience Requirements:
- Must have minimum 1-2 years’ professional public relations experience with strong network among local mainstream media.
Job Description: The PR & Communications Executive essentially will assist in activating, coordinating, and fulfilling the hotel-level PR and Communications strategy plans to promote the Dhaka Regency brand, offers, and events in order to maximize visibility, coverage, and, thereby, revenue generation.
